Solo Practice

Beginning Posture (起势 qǐ shì)

1. Chop head while stepping forward (进步劈顶 jìn bù pī dǐng)

2. Point at knee while stepping forward (上步点膝 shàng bù diǎn xī)

3. Stab shoulder while stepping forward (上步刺肩 shàng bù cì jiān)

4. Cut throat while stepping forward (进步锁喉 jìn bù suǒ hóu)

5. Raise staff to protect head while stepping back (退步提拉护顶 tuì bù tí lā hù dǐng)

6. Rotate staff and block down to protect knee while stepping back (退步勾挂遮膝 tuì bù gōu guà zhē xī)

7. Hold staff horizontally to protect shoulder while stepping back (退步推托护肩 tuì bù tuī tuō hù jiān)

8. Hold staff vertically and block side-to-side to protect throat while stepping back (退步横拨护喉 tuì bù héng bō hù hóu)

Ending Posture (收势 shōu shì)
